Freja’s Adenomyosis Story

When Freja collapsed in the shower from a blinding pain, she thought she was having a stroke. Years later after multiple visits to A&E, and fighting to get taken seriously with her GP she was finally diagnosed with adenomyosis. But a diagnosis is not a cure, and now Freja is forced to face a difficult decision: does she pursue a pregnancy which she doesn’t believe she’s ready for yet - or does she have a hysterectomy.

Jen’s Endometriosis & Adenomyosis story

It wasn’t long after Jen had her first period, that her mum, who had had a hysterectomy due to her endometriosis, took her to the doctors knowing something wasn’t right. But Jen was told she was ‘one of the unlucky ones’ who experienced heavy periods and prescribed the pill. It took another 22 years for Jen to finally get a diagnosis, and by then the impact on her organs were devastating.
